"Blueberry" the male in a pair of bluebirds that nest outside the kids' bedroom window in our birdhouse:
I have this obnoxious thing where I get a crazy sense of satisfaction out of creating a meal solely from things I have made from scratch and also raised on our farm. Lunch today: Egg Salad from an egg fresh from our henhouse, on homemade bread with tender lettuce shoots I had after thinning the seedlings I started. On the side, a garlicky dill pickle I canned last summer. YUM!
